Albergue Tacana is constructed from local materials in the style of a tradicional indian malloca. The high roof crafted from palm leaves bt local bora indians provides a natural cool enviroment even on the hotest days.
The house and cabana are surrounded by 2 hectares of fruit trees native to the adjoining forests. uvas de monte, umari, maranon, copuacu and others
We are surrounded by flowering plants that attract daily visits from hummingbirds and butterflies. Tegu lizards , Morpho butterflies and Toucans are regular visitors
The Tacana river where you can fish, bathe or go canoeing is less than 10 minutes walk from the Albergue and there are two working Mallocas in the forest within an hours walk.
